Our ambitions & commitment to handcrafted excellence is to target a loyal customer base and a reputation for delivering delightful culinary experiences.What are my responsibilities?As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for leading our bakery team in creating exquisite baked goods that exceed our customers' expectations. With a primary focus on handcrafting techniques and attention to detail, you will ensure that every product leaving our kitchen reflects the superior quality and artisanal flair that defines our brand.Lead and supervise the bakery team, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and productivity.
- Develop and execute recipes for a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative flavour combinations.
- Oversee all aspects of the baking process, from ingredient preparation to final presentation, ensuring consistency, freshness, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to plan production schedules, manage inventory levels, and optimise workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, upholding sanitation, and hygiene protocols to meet regulatory requirements and uphold our commitment to food safety.
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance product offerings and refine baking processes.
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role in a boutique bakery or upscale culinary establishment for over 5 years.
- - Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, including dough preparation, fermentation, shaping, and baking, with a focus on artisanal methods and handcrafting.
- - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence.
- - Proven track record for a successful bakery with a strong creative flair and a passion for innovation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering visually stunning and flavourful baked goods.
- - Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
