Full Charge Bookkeeper - Accounting Specialist

- Responsible for daily accounting operations in QuickBooks
- Assist accounting department with month-end close and financial reporting such as budget reports and bank reconciliations
- Track payments and expenditures including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements
- Administer unemployment claim
- Process check requests and expense reports
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Prepare 1099s
- Prepare and submit monthly sales tax returns
- Analyze and investigate billing errors/omissions and resolve
- Enter new hire data related to hiring, compensation, and benefits
- Support management in various company-wide initiatives
- 4+ years of solid experience in all aspects of accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, bank recs, and sales tax returns
- Strong QuickBooks experience a MUST
- Accounting degree a plus
- Property management, hospitality industry, or CPA firm bookkeeping experience a big plus
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Exceptional ability to track and reconcile accounting records
- Excellent communication skills, ability and desire to work independently under minimal supervision, ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong sense of urgency and commitment to accuracy
- Strong ability to multi-task, keen attention to detail, developed problem-solving skills, and collaborative team focus
- Long-term player, with proven longevity in previous roles and dedication to learning and becoming a valuable asset within the accounting team
