It is the perfect close-knit community if you are an outdoor adventurist looking for slightly slower-paced living while also continuing to grow in your healthcare career.What's it like to work at RRH?:JOB SUMMARY:The Health Information Technician I supports and assists the Health Information Management Department of the Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. This position will require the utilization of established processes to store, retrieve, abstract, analyze, encode, process, transcribe and release patient information. Medical records may exist in paper or electronic form, and a variety of health record indices and computer databases may be utilized. Prepares statistical reports, special projects and performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.2. Medical records training and acute care hospital experience preferred.3. Knowledge of medical coding systems preferred.4. Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, including anatomy and physiology, preferred.5. Must demonstrate basic computer and keyboard skills with Microsoft Windows.6. Understanding of office systems and procedures.7. Must demonstrate maturity and careful judgment.8. Must demonstrate good communication, analytical and organizational skills.9.
