Overview**This position will be a mixture of remote/non-remote. Because the position is almost exclusively computer based most work can be done remotely. Occasionally the employee will be required to come to the laboratory for face-to-face meetings. Candidates must reside in CA.**Schedule: Part Time Monday – Friday 8am – 10amPurpose Statement/Position Summary: This position is within the Moats Laboratory of the Saban Research Institute. The laboratory is involved in pre-clinical and clinical trials in collaboration with other researchers within the CHLA enterprise. Primarily focused on imaging aspects of these studies the laboratory cares out the acquisition and analysis of radiology and small animal radiology. The Researcher will be at the entry level of an academic team comprising a more senior computer science researcher and Dr. Moats the PI of the laboratory. The Researcher will also interact with 4 Research Specialists from the Small Animal Imaging Core. The Research Assistant is responsible for analysis of clinical and technical data for a variety of research projects; assist in the conduct of highly specialized technical research; research for and preparation of manuscripts, grant applications and research reports. Perform preliminary statistical analysis for research projects. We currently have images which have been collected which we need to process. This is a training level position, and Dr. Moats and Dr. Tang will work with the new hire to train in the craft of image post-acquisition processing.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ years’ of related experience. Ability to accurately interpret and enter data into the computer system. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet skills. This position requires that the employee have a strong background working on computers and will need to work independently once trained on a project.Education/Licensure/Certification: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Pay Scale InformationUSD $33,072.00 - USD $51,188.80CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
