The Project Manager with this leading Chicagoland General Contractor will work on exciting construction projects in the Municipal and Public sector, with competitive salary and excellent benefits.   • Oversee the successful management of construction projects. Provides leadership to the team with respect to project goals, objectives and client expectations
  • Ensures efficient coordination of project requirements. Leads the team in cooperative and synergistic efforts with other disciplines on projects
  • Reviews all reporting systems and procedures and prepares reports to clients and senior management defining progress and cost
  • Promote and maintain client relationships
  • Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals
  • Develop strong relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers
  • Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of construction experience, public or municipal construction experience required.
  • Proficiency with computer software used in the construction industry - experience with Procore is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills- role with be somewhat client facing, dealing with subs and owners
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details
  • Proficiency reviewing and understanding all construction related documents, including understanding specifications and drawings
