As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!Humber River Health is seeking a results-orientated professional to lead our compensation, benefits, and HRIS functions in the role of Manager, Total Rewards & HR Systems.In partnership with the Director, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and People Analytics, this role will lead a team of HR professionals to support Humber River Health in the day-to-day operations in areas of benefits, compensation and HRIS. You will be overseeing the delivery of all processes relating to employee life cycle transactions, HRIS optimization and data quality to ensure consistency, integrity and equity in the work we deliver. With lenses on continuous improvements and industry best practices, you will recommend sustainable business solutions to drive a high performing team.Employment Status: Permanent Full TimeUnion Group: Non UnionHours of work: Weekdays, flexibility required, onsiteResponsibilities (not limited to):
  • Provides leadership and guidance to team members on compensation, benefits and HRIS functions while ensuring services and work are performed in compliance with collective agreements, policies and procedures
  • Facilitates frequent cross-departmental meetings with key stakeholders to ensure adequate processes, procedures, audits and system backups are in place to deliver seamless data integration and data accuracy and mitigate errors, financial risks and employee impact
  • Serves as primary contact for HRIS system matters such as system implications, modifications, software upgrades, and maintenance; oversees User Acceptance Testing on all HR applications
  • Oversees the hospital’s job evaluation system to ensure maintenance of fair, equitable and transparent compensation structure
  • Services as point of escalation for HOODIP challenges and works with internal and external stakeholders on resolution
  • Leads annual external compensation benchmark exercise in partnership with third party consultant
  • Prepares reports and analyses as necessary
  • Supports collective bargaining through the preparation of costing analyses and benchmarking of compensatory items within the scope of collective agreements
  • Leads RFPs, policy reviews, projects and initiatives as required
  • Provides leadership coverage for the Talent Acquisition team as required
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 3 years leadership experience in a unionized environment
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources with at least 5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, and HRIS management
  • Thorough knowledge of compensation principles and practices, payroll procedures, CRA guidelines, and benefits administration required
  • Experience in administering short term and long-term disability
  • Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional or Project Management Professional designation an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
