*** SEN support - AutismRole Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with a child diagnosed with Autism, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs and facilitate their educational progress. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is passionate about supporting children with Autism and helping them thrive in a school environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing a trusting and supportive relationship with the child, fostering a sense of security and confidence.
- Implementing individualised strategies and interventions to support the child's communication, social interaction, and academic development.
- Assisting the child in navigating sensory sensitivities and managing emotional regulation challenges.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the child.
- Monitoring the child's progress and adjusting support strategies as necessary to ensure continued growth and success.
- A degree in Psychology or a related field, with a strong interest in Autism and developmental disorders.
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and build positive relationships.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of children with Autism.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the child and the school environment.
