With a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, we are dedicated to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator with expertise in heavy civil construction, specifically highway and bridge projects. As a leading general contractor specializing in heavy civil construction in the Philadelphia area, we are committed to delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations.Responsibilities:
  • Lead the estimation process for heavy civil construction projects, with a focus on highway and bridge infrastructure.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess project requirements and scope.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis to prepare competitive and comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for bidding purposes.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating software such as HeavyBid, HCSS HeavyJob, or B2W Estimate to streamline the estimating process and ensure accuracy.
  • Present estimates to senior management and participate in bid reviews and strategy meetings to secure new projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating roles, with a focus on highway and bridge projects.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, HCSS HeavyJob, or B2W Estimate.
  • Thorough understanding of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project requirements and develop accurate estimates.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Familiarity with local construction codes, regulations, and permitting processes in the Philadelphia area is preferred.
