- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Process customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
- Prepare and distribute periodic accounts receivable reports for management review.
- Accounts Payable:
- Receive and review vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Code invoices to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.
- Process vendor payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or outstanding balances.
- Maintain vendor records and files, including contact information and payment terms.
- General Accounting:
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze various financial reports, such as aging schedules, cash flow projections, and budget variance analysis.
- Support external audits and provide documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding accounts receivable and payable matters.
- Provide support and assistance to other members of the finance team as needed.
- Payroll:
- Complete weekly payroll for all departments.
- Complete reconciliation reports to verify payroll accuracy.
- Complete weekly payroll reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
