With a long history of leadership in the paper industry, Pixelle delivers the most comprehensive portfolio of specialty papers to help you meet today’s challenging demands.Job DescriptionRoleThe incumbent will work within current and new Maintenance business processes to effectively develop job plans and long-range work schedules for performing the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment in the assigned area of responsibility.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures all safety considerations are planned into every work order
  • The incumbent is required to work closely with Maintenance, Storeroom, Purchasing, Finance, IT, Engineering, Production, and other departments, at all levels of supervision, throughout the plant in making estimates, determining priorities, and developing recommendations.
  • Willingness to travel for identified training opportunities
  • Possess the ability to apply practical knowledge of the work, tools, materials, safety procedures, and equipment used by the crafts under the maintenance function in estimating and planning projected work using available man hours.
  • Responsible for planning jobs using standardized check sheet to include: determining work scope, coding work orders as appropriate, conducting field visits and interviews with requestors, taking pictures of job site, researching the availability of parts, maintaining work specifications, and prioritizing work.
  • Projected workday consists of a 60:40 split. (60% out in plant – 40% office)
  • Prepare reports and assorted duties, as required.
QualificationsQualifications
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in an industrial environment with technical knowledge of maintaining equipment and processes.
  • Very good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Above average computer skills including Excel spreadsheets, working knowledge of file management and word processing.
  • SAP Experience Preferred
  • Ability to handle deadlines, variable workloads and substantial amounts of critical mill and equipment data.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to wear protective clothing as required by prevailing conditions
  • Ability to perform mathematical computation for estimating and purchasing.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
