This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and providing service to multiple quarry site locations, which may require overnight travel at times. Initiating and managing repairs of multiple types of yellow iron including Komatsu, Caterpillar, and John Deere brands. Additional duties may include performing equipment checks, running multiple troubleshooting programs to include Caterpillars ET (Electronic Technician).BENEFITS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing routine and scheduled maintenance on mobile equipment
  • Monitoring inventory of equipment and maintenance supplies
  • Communicating with varying levels of management on down times, breakdowns, and scheduling
  • Managing the need for outsourced repairs, when needed
  • Communicating effectively with other team members
  • Securing proper tooling and making necessary arrangements
  • Maintaining a neat, organized, and clean appearance to the shop and surrounding areas
  • Working safely and following necessary protocol
  • Attending necessary trainings and/or meetings when scheduled
  • Performing other duties as required to maintain an overall smooth and efficient operation, or as requested or directed from time to time by management team
  • Some welding and fabrication skill is required
  • Troubleshooting heavy duty off-road mining equipment
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma
  • Mechanic or trade school experience, a plus
  • 3-5 years of off-road / yellow iron equipment maintenance experience
  • Ability to disassemble and assemble engines, transmissions, differentials, etc., as well as build hydraulic cylinders and motors
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to work independently or as a team
  • Safety knowledge and mindset
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – preferred (or the ability and willingness to obtain)
