Job Summary
Improves entity fiscal health and bottom line by ensuring data accuracy and integrity to positively impact billing and payment for services rendered.Job Responsibilities
1. Collects, reviews, inputs & maintains entity specific data integrity. Enters and/or audits data integrity of patient services obtained from reporting programs, including include demographic, payer, diagnostic and clinical data as well as all services assigned that result in daily charges. Audits output data.2. Obtains processes, verifies and/or audits data integrity of authorizations for services from programs. Identifies and resolves production-related errors.3. Maintains and revises procedural lists, control records and coding schemes to process source data to be used in coordination with reporting programs to monitor accuracy and completeness of data.4. Generates reports of program activity and produces daily reports that inform staff of program volumes, authorizations and program admissions/discharges.5. Works collaboratively with user groups both within department and across the enterprise, sharing information, resources, tools and ideas to provide instruction and assistance in maintaining data integrity.6. Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsAssociates degree in healthcare administration, business or related area- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related area is preferred- 1-2 years' experience in the medical billing, insurance, and EPIC- Proficiency in EPIC- Computer proficiency and keyboarding skills- Excellent attention to detail- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsWe take great care of careers.With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
