MPW Industrial Services is a family owned, 3000+ employee company established in 1972 and headquartered in Hebron Ohio (just outside Columbus).JOB FUNCTION:We are seeking an Automation and Electrical Controls Engineer who will work within MPW's Industrial Water Division. Utilizing MPW's core values of Safety, Innovation, and Service the engineer will support the design, programming, and deployment of cutting edge, fully automated, industrial water systems across North America. Project Leadership and customer engagement will be key to the position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:DesignWork alongside Mechanical and Process Engineers to help design all aspects of the equipment's electrical and control systems, documenting the overall design using standardized forms and CAD software.
  • Electrical Power Distribution Systems
  • Control System Architecture including Safety, Instrumentation, PLC, and network design
  • Control Panel Component Selection and Layout
  • Panel and System Fabrication Shop Support
Programming * Utilize MPW's standard programming practices to develop PLC and HMI programming for industrial water systems.
  • Testing and Quality Control
  • Follow MPW's standard testing procedures to ensure proper system functionality and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Assist with issue troubleshooting and tracking
  • Validate PLC and HMI Programming
  • Maintain Documentation to support the overall MPW QA process

Required ExperienceQUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Preferred), Associate degree will be considered with relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in creating PLC and HMI programs
  • Preferably with Allen Bradley Systems
  • Ability to create new PLC and HMI programs from scratch (preferred)
  • Project or team Leadership skills
  • Computer Aided Drafting (Preferably with AutoCAD Electrical)
  • Experience with water purification technology is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates should have proficiency with all MS Office applications.
  • Candidates should be forward-thinking and have a strong willingness to learn all aspects of the business in a high paced environment.
  • Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
  • Willingness to travel to field services sites, and customer sites as needed. Up to 60 nights travel typical
