Job Summary:Serve as Business Partner to Chesterton’s management team. Develop and implement Chesterton’s tax planning strategies to reduce tax expense, eliminate tax exposures, minimize audit deficiencies, and maintain a competitive effective tax rate. Lead the continual strategic review of the company's international tax structure and transfer pricing policies. Prepare and file statutory tax filings including responsibility for compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Function as liaison to shareholders regarding tax related distributions and filings. Collaborate with Chesterton’s management team to evaluate and maintain an appropriate legal entity structure to ensure efficient cash and business transactions while adhering to local tax regulations.Job Model: HybridHybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.Responsibilities:
  • Serve as liaison to shareholders regarding tax related distributions and filings.
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation, filing, and submission of all tax-related documents and reports on a global scale, including but not limited to annual tax returns.
  • Manage tax planning and compliance across different business units and countries, ensuring tax liabilities are accurately reported.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning and optimization opportunities to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and maximize efficiency, boosting the financial performance.
  • Oversee and proactively initiate and execute a diverse range of international tax planning strategies effectively leveraging internal and external resources.
  • Responsible for providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on financial issues, including tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Foster a culture of tax compliance and awareness throughout the organization, providing training and support as needed.

Education and/or Experience:
  • University degree in commerce, accounting, taxation or a related field, MBA preferred
  • Professional qualification of Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax management, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
