- Provide administrative support for a variety of Customer Service activities.
- Conduct outbound calls to members and complete several different assessments and surveys.
- Assists the Customer Service department with inbound calls during peak business hours.
- Enter required data in several computer programs and databases.
- Maintain accurate data for reporting requirements.
- Keep the Customer Service Supervisor and Manager informed of service problems, and changes in contact data, including members, providers, resources, etc.
- Complete all training programs and certifications.
- Prior experience working in a customer service, call center or similar environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) language skill is preferred.
- Familiarity with health care/managed care terminology.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and initiative.
- Prior experience in health care and knowledge of managed care or Medi-Cal preferred.
- Ability to communicate with a high degree of professionalism, including discretion in working with confidential information.
- Computer literate in an MS-Office environment, customer management and managed care system applications.
- High-school diploma or GED.
