- Using necessary service literature, can service, perform maintenance on, and repair all commercial / industrial chillers.
- Performs new system start-ups and repairs on air conditioning, industrial chiller, and refrigeration equipment.
- Low voltage temp-control systems.
- Direct expansion constant volume, multiple circuited/compressor AC equipment.
- Water-cooled AC units up to 100 tons.
- Water source heat pumps and associated equipment.
- Atmospheric gas fired hot water boilers.
- Most gas fired and electric heating systems found in commercial equipment up to 100 tons.
- Chilled and hot water pipes and pumps.
- Computer room type units with self-contained humidifiers and controls.
- Non-BAS, pneumatic, electronic, and modular DDC temp controls.
- Air-cooled water chillers equipped with reciprocating, scroll and screw compressors.
- Electronic controls incorporated with most packaged water chillers.
- Electronic Variable Speed Drives typically connected to VAV air handlers, pumps, towers, etc.
- Water-cooled DX water chillers equipped with reciprocating, centrifugal, scroll or screw compressors.
- Electro-mechanical motor starters, up to 480 volts, and associated controls.
- Chilled and hot water pipe and pump systems equipped with variable speed drives.
- Most gas fired and electric hot water/steam heating systems found in commercial boilers 200 HP+
- Electronic/variable speed starters.
- Electronic and computer controlled digital temp control systems.
- Utilize the BAS system to diagnose and repair system problems and components.
- 1 year of Chiller service or Refrigeration in a commercial setting.
- 2 years of general HVAC Service experience.
- EPA Universal certification preferred.
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Work as a team.
- Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
- Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Work efficiently in confined spaces.
- Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
- Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
