That's why all our employees enjoy access to dynamic career opportunities across different fields and industries.At Honeywell Advanced Connected Sustainability Technologies (ACST), our outstanding team of scientists, engineers, and professionals develop groundbreaking technology by applying their expertise in complex hardware and software control systems, atomic physics, ultra-high vacuum environments, cryogenics, cyber security, and more.Honeywell's ACST team is seeking an HSE Engineer II for our Chandler, AZ location.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport and facilitate the implementation of an effective Health, Safety, and Environmental management system that will ensure ongoing compliance towards Honeywell's HSE standards and regulatory compliance, while improving site HSE culture
Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations
Management and continual improvement of safety programs including Machine Guarding, Pressure Testing, Electrical Safety, Contractor Safety, Hand Tools, Hot Work, Housekeeping, Combustible Dust, Fire Safety, Fall Protection, Vehicle Safety, and VPP programs
Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone
Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training
Deploy and manage HSE initiatives to continually improve performance of assigned programs and processes
Develop and implement safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and Honeywell company requirements
Assist in development of a facility waste management plan, including the identification and administering satellite accumulation areas, developing waste collection programs and management of storage areas
Oversight and project management of HSE projects as needed
Perform site compliance reviews and safety auditing as neededUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years of HSE program management experience
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Government Security Clearance
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 3 years of experience focus in the following is preferred; air quality, waste management, chemical inventory, environmental permits and EPCRA required reports
  • Familiar with OSHA Standards for General Industry (i.e., electrical safety, Fall Protection, Hoist and Crane Safety, hazardous materials management) preferred
  • Experience with RCRA, EPA, OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Familiar with occupational safety requirements and HSE management software.
  • Research and development experience preferred.
