Relocation Assistance Available: YesPrimary Purpose of Position:Support achievement of Development Center business goals by driving world class HR strategies & systems around safety, staffing, labor relations, training, organizational development while maintaining positive associate relations & strong engagement. Promote Development Center's vision, mission statement & values. Build & sustain a collaborative, engaged work environment characterized by employee involvement & participative management. Ensure the Development Center is staffed with innovative, multi-skilled, high-performing workforce with a focus on continuous improvement. Build effective onboarding, training & performance management systems to support associates & maintain active involvement in the succession & career-planning process & workforce planning initiatives. Develop & administer progressive HR policies for the Development Center. Develop systems that assure the Development Center complies with the law & with Goodyear policy & that those systems are administered effectively. Benchmark similar facilities & continually interact with peer organizations to apply best practices & process updates. Lead & direct all the day to day HR responsibilities, processes & programs from a Corporate level in support of the organization's drive to becoming a high performance organization.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe & efficient work environment by building a culture where “Safety” is considered as a value not a focus/priority. Promote workplace safety by modeling safety work practices & taking leadership role in addressing workplace safety & health issues.
- Provide training support to meet present & future organizational needs. Maintain effective communication systems that enhance the organization effectiveness. Administer the Performance Management Process to ensure effective employee development
- Responsible for data management of core HR processes such as Succession Planning. Merit planning, PMP & Engagement Survey as well as monitoring the collection, filling, maintenance, tracking & storage of all data,
- Manage process of key HR systems & transactions such as 565s, MSS, LOA's, Tuition assistance invoices, Exits, GTMS & Opening job requisitions.
- Lead the development & execution of core processes including: Career planning, performance management, succession planning, recruiting & staffing, on-boarding, training, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree HR/business or related field.
- 3-5 years HR experience.
- Experience with leading projects across organizations/regions.
- Experience working with several different audiences, communicating efficiently, knowing your audience.
- Experience investigating, analyzing & solving a myriad of complex associate relations issues.
- Experience leading HR at a stand-alone facility (remote from regional office or global HQ).
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, EEO compliance, affirmative action plans.
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Strong analytical & organizational skills.
- Strong computer & MS Office Suite skills.
- Understanding hiring practice & training methods in manufacturing.
