L’équipe des services de gros travaille avec nos clients sur le plan individuel, tout en développant des relations professionnelles fondées sur la confiance et l’attention.This job position is opened in the Lens Technologies and Sustainability department of the Group Lens Innovation division. Within this department, the New Lens Technologies and Prototyping team (NLTP) is in charge of developing new technologies for ophthalmic lens prototyping and manufacturing.This position falls within the film lamination activities, which aim at bringing functionalities to a lens through the application of a flexible film on its surface. The Studies Manager will lead technical studies to develop concepts of film-borne optical functions and associated processes, working closely with other members of NLTP and experts from other teams (project mode).The Studies Manager will be able to :
- propose relevant innovative concepts,
- assess the performances of the developed concepts & processes,
- identify potential compatibility issues with other processes applied to the lens.
- Studies management
- Integrate or help define studies objectives based on needs expressed by management,
- Define global technical workplan and methodologies
- Define test plans with the support of relevant experts, and ensure proper roll out by the project team.
- Identify missing tools or expertises and suggest solutions (e.g. investiment in equipments, external studies…)
- Analyze, summarize and communicate the results to team members, to managers, and occasionally to top management (written and spoken).
- Expertise development
- Develop a deep understanding of the internal work done at EssilorLuxottica and of topics to be further investigated.
- Remain aware of new trends and solutions through a scientific and techno watch (science papers, newsletters, technical fairs, conferences).
- Innovation protection
- Contribute to a patent watch.
- Contribute to memo innovation writing (for patent submission).
- External actors management
- Identify and be in contact with relevant external partners (e.g. suppliers of films, adhesives or characterization equipments, universities, …).
- EHS
- Comply with and advocate EHS rules.
- At least 5 years of experience in R&D type project management,
- Knowledge of Ophthalmic Optics and ophthalmic industry (must have),
- Taste for experimental work,
- Good knowledge of Microsoft suite,
- Good communication skills spoken / written, French / English.

- Ability to work independently, to take initiatives,
- Open-minded, ability for teamwork and good interaction with others.
