- Reporting to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, the bed flow coordinator works in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Case Management, Admitting, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses and Unit Coordinators throughout Patient Care Services to maintain accurate patient throughput data and management of the electronic bedboard while promoting efficient patient throughput and timely discharges.
- Experience
- Minimum two years current hospital experience
- Knowledge in patient flow principles (admissions, discharges and transfers)
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Skills
- Exceptional ability to problem-solves and prioritizes issues.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task and delegate work.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Computer skills required.
