- The applicant will have the opportunity to learn the cutting-edge microbial-explicitly ecosystem model - CLM-Microbe, and work in a highly interdisciplinary team.
- The successful applicant will work on data compilation from published literature and assist with setting up the model simulation and analyzing the model output with computer language (mainly R) and statistical approaches.
- Currently enrolled in high school.
- Interested in ecology and applied modeling and statistic approaches.
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability.
- Specialized knowledge about ecology is desirable.
- Microbial biomass in soils across the U.S.
- Microbial activities in soils across the U.S.
- Enzyme activities in soils
- Microbial community structure in soils
- Greenhouse gas fluxes in major biomes
- Candidate must reside in California or live in a commutable distance from SDSU at time of hire.
