Pre Post Care Unit· Patient Population/Diagnoses: In the Pre Post Care Unit, we care for a wide range of patients ranging from neonates up to adults. At Riley, we perform surgical procedures as simples as ear tubes to open heart.· # of beds: 42· Nursing skills gained: BLS, ALS, PALS Certified. You learn many nursing skills: phlebotomy, how to care for central lines, drains/tubes, IV pumps, etc.· Unit Successes/Designations/National recognition: PPCU has held the some of the highest patient experience scores in the system. This is credited to the amazing team comprised of nurses, patient care assistants, Child Life Specialist, Unit Secretaries, Patient Transporter, and Guest Relations.· Unit Culture Highlights: We are often recognized for our strong teamwork!Qualifications
- Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
