- Assemble machinery from drawings, Solidworks model, Build books or description of parts; to be assembled using basic hand tools and small power tools, both electric and pneumatic.
- Experience building and repairing cars a plus
- Maintain safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Experience in identifying mechanical components; and to perform required mechanical and final machine assembly for schedule requirements
- Familiar with standard materials used in machinery building, such as metals, plastics, etc.
- Familiar with drilling, tapping, layouts of holes, and other basic assembly functions
- Ability to read and understand engineering documents (blueprints, drawings, schematics, BOM, and manufacturing process instructions)
- Actively participates in the design evaluation process of new products.
- Generate RED LINE Drawing and BOM as required
- Ability to analyze component construction, measuring, identifying materials and documenting formal designs.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and write work instructions
- Has understanding to use in-house inspection measurement instruments, including: scales, calipers, micrometers, height gage, microscope, comparator, surface plate, gages, etc.
- Pneumatic and basic electrical knowledge
- Work entails reaching, pulling, standing most of the shift, stooping, and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years as a mechanical assembler/machinist
- Comfortable in Word & Excel
- Machining and Fabrication experience is a plus
