- Establishes and manages an agenda to define, measure, analyze, improve and control all processes that impact quality in design, production and service.
- Manages various quality-related Key Performance Indicators, product holds, complaints, reporting events, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) program, SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Report) process, and other standardized quality norms.
- Manages product recall activities to include recall policies and procedures for the company. Additionally, manages product compliance activities and processes along with the Innovation and Product Development team.
- Leads CAPA Review Board and Quality Monitoring Board to ensure CAPAs are initiated as appropriate, resource allocations, tracking as well as CAPA review and approval.
- Creates and deploys quality strategy as part of overarching quality roadmap for business management and quality systems thus ensuring consistent, standardized execution of processes.
- Creates, reviews, and/or appends supplier/vendor quality agreements providing Operations leaders with recommended changes which align with internal quality standards.
- Develops and maintains an effective understanding of US and international regulatory bodies and authorities. Ensures that company’s products meet customer requirements and applicable quality standards.
- Develops, modifies, and executes company policies that affect immediate operations. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
- Ensures all products comply with relevant safety and environmental policies and regulations.
- Assists with disposition of non-conforming materials and products.
- Regularly interacts with vendors/suppliers on matters concerning the alignment of quality approaches and procedures, an input being regularly determined or ad hoc quality audits.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 7+ years industry experience in QA in an industrial environment, with a focus on the high volume production of high performance discrete products.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory issues, and the ability to develop and implement a cutting-edge Quality Management System (QMS).
- Proven capability driving ISO-stipulated business management processes and procedures.
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) through ASQ is a plus.
- Analytical mindset, with strong statistical and problem-solving skills. Lean Six Sigma certification desired.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to develop effective internal and external relationships with clients and customers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability and desire to build and lead a quality assurance team.
- Advanced Excel experience, and competence in statistical analytical software systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to be hands on in a production environment and be on-site in West Valley facility 5 days a week
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 10-15 years of professional experience in the quality assurance field.
- Previous proven experience in the field of digital printing technologies, with a proven familiarity with and understanding of high speed automation systems.
- CQA and/or CQM certification.
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of appropriate global regulations, requirements, and standards, such as 21 CFR Parts 803, 806, and 820, European Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC), Canadian Medical Devices Regulation (SOR/98-282), and ISO 9001, ISO13485, and ISO14971.
