We are currently assisting our client, a private family office, with a search for a Technology Manager.JOB SUMMARY:The Technology Manager reports to the Director Family Office and is an office-based position supporting staff based in Miami, Florida, as well as multiple locations in multiple states. The role requires working knowledge of audio-visual systems, automation and control systems, teleconferencing, CCTV and video surveillance, phone, and data networking, off-air, cable and satellite systems, access control, security, and fire systems. The technology includes Windows based systems, iOS mobile devices and knowledge of multiple networking hardware manufacturers and their configurations (Ruckus, Cisco, Ubiquiti). Small business environment experience is critical as the team requires help desk type support in addition to project and vendor management. Skills will include independent analysis, excellent proactive communication, and problem-solving skills. The role is afforded great autonomy but requires low ego, strong teaming skills, proactive initiative, strong ownership, and time management skills as well as great interpersonal skills. Travel is required to support remote locations as needed.Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain processes to secure the integrity of all technology-related resources of the organization.
  • Responsible for the configuration, support, audit, and improvement of the organization's technology assets.
  • Provide end-user support and outstanding customer service.
  • Respond to and efficiently resolve outages and interruptions.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain all network-related equipment.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain all software and computer systems of the organization.
  • Audit use of existing productivity software systems. Where needed, research and implement new productivity software systems, terminate obsolete or unused systems, and ensure uniform use across the organization.
  • Maintain inventory of software licenses and ensure compliance.
  • Train staff to use systems and applications as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of phones, personal computers, laptops, printers.
  • Create and maintain network documentation.
  • Ability to travel 30%, sometimes in large blocks of time.
  • Ability to work across time zones to support other locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education:
  • 8-10 years of experience working in an IT environment.
  • 5+ years' experience in System Administration
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office O365/2016, Microsoft Windows 7 and 10, Ruckus, Cisco, Ubiquiti, Amazon Fire TV, and Echo's) and Apple OSX, & Windows Active Directory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft Azure, Windows 10 and 11, MacOS, and iOS.
  • Effective communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with web development technologies. (This is not a web development position).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle last-minute changes and user requests.
  • 5+ years' experience in System Administration
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to make clear recommendations and decisions.
  • Proven ability to anticipate and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Able to work independently within a team environment.
  • Able to drive work efficiently to meet deadlines.
