- Ensure priority market strategies are aligned with CMC corporate and Tensar division goals and objectives
- Champion voice of customer within Market Management team and across the company
- Bring together resources globally to develop cohesive plans for market-specific growth
- Ensure product and solution needs for market success are prioritized and resourced within pertinent teams (technology, IT, etc.)
- Active participation in relevant industry associations, boards, committees, etc.
- Serve as champion for Commercial Engine and role it plays in success of Market Management
- Establish and report effective dashboards and KPIs to track market management results
- Lead and mentor Market Management team, continually developing knowledge and skills of team members
- Continuous improvement of Market Management processes
- Ensure Market Managers are effectively managing his or her assigned market segment
- Effective business plans to achieve market objectives
- Deep understanding of the market landscape, needs and opportunities through analyzing market data, trends, reviewing and/or developing consumer-based research, and working with the sales team
- Evaluation of current and future go-to-market strategies including distribution, partnerships and other needs
- Creation and delivery of content (White Papers, PPTs, Brochures, and other items) and products for this market segment. Works with product management and internal departments as needed to develop, review and roll content into the marketplace
- Promotion and training of strategic messaging to the sales force and clients as needed
- Develop and maintain competitive technology comparisons to highlight the benefits of Tensar/Geopier systems
- Work with product management on evaluating price lists and pricing strategy
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or strategy, preferably in construction industry
- Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, and cost reporting
- Financial and strategic analysis and business case development
- Demonstrated ability to work in a global, multi-site, cross functional organization
- Bachelor Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related degree is preferred. An alternative, BA in Marketing or Business Admin with experience in heavy civil construction or earthwork construction
