Purchasing Agent 2nd ShiftRummel Construction, Inc. is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent for 2nd shift (approx. 1:30PM - 10:00PM), who will provide prompt and efficient service to the field operations, maintenance operations and small tool distribution. The position is responsible for purchasing job supplies, materials, and replacement and repair parts. This position requires one to be self-motivated and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and 10-key. The candidate must be capable of understanding and recognizing construction related parts to ensure the proper selection of parts, monitor and maintain accurate inventory.The Purchasing Agent role is safety sensitive, and requires physical activity, including but not limited to: heavy lifting of parts and boxes, and repeatedly bending and stooping to floor level.Job Duties:
  • Organize and maintain shop inventory
  • Point of contact for field needs of equipment and material
  • Purchase materials as needed for job by job basis
  • Track inventory and location of inventory
  • Track whereabouts of all small tools and provide up to date reporting as needed
  • Serialize all small tool purchases and enter all assets into Rummel systems
  • Check out and track all small tools to jobsites & individuals
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of small tools
  • Coordinates all small tool moves from job to job of employee to employee.
  • Liaison with Equipment department on UTV maintenance and repairs
  • Assist jobsite personnel with inventory of small tools, materials, & supplies
  • Available for parts runs, vehicle maintenance, office functions
  • Research vendor pricing, delivery dates, etc.
  • Able and willing to operate a Forklift.
Minimum Requirements: Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and 10-key.
