A well established, reputable General Contractor is seeking a Water/Wastewater Construction Superintendent to join our team. This contractor is a leader in the industry experiencing continued growth.Travel to the project site is required.This Superintendent will be responsible for managing, assisting, and monitoring the overall construction work for all assigned Water/Wastewater projects. This includes updating project schedules, managing labor costs, and coordinating self-perform and subcontractor work.Job Responsibilities
  • In charge of ensuring that a safe workplace remains the top priority by partnering with the Safety department, Safety committee, and Project Management to support policies, procedures and practices to initiate a safe workplace.
  • Oversee job progress by managing Subcontractors, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
  • Manage project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Supervise field productivity, cost control, quality control and scheduling to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
  • Collaborate with field and project management personnel to address cost and schedule concerns.
  • Take an active part in job start / job close meetings.
  • Be in communication regularly with Project Management to troubleshoot job challenges and update job status.
  • Advice and enforce company policies and procedures with field personnel and Subcontractors.
  • Contribute Leadership through building cooperative relationships, acting systemically, being decisive and taking responsibility.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater construction. Projects include water/wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, pump stations etc.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to travel to the project site.
