JOB TITLE:Machine Operator-Multi Spindle Screw MachineSHIFTS:1st Shift, Monday-Thursday: 5:00am-3:00pm2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday: 3:00pm-1:00amJOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Recognition of nonconforming products and services, and the responsibility to shut down production processes when defective parts/material are found.Effect any change(s) necessary to control and maintain the Roberts ISO-9002:1994 Quality System.Tends single or multiple spindle screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms that drill, turn, bore, thread, tap, and face metal bar stock according to specifications: Loads bar stock into feeding mechanism or hand loads individual machine parts.Starts machine, engages feeds, and observes machine operation.Removes sample workpiece from machine and inspects workpiece to verify conformance to specifications, using instruments, such as preset comparator, ring and screw pinch gauges, calipers, and micrometer.Moves controls to adjust machine operation. Use statistical process control techniques.Must be safety conscious and oriented and responsible for good house-keeping and policing area.REQUIRED SKILLS:Mechanically InclinedExperience on following machines preferred:Davenport, Acme, Gildemesiter, EuroturnCNC, CNC operator, mill, lathe, CNC programmer
