- Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements.
- Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.
- Distributes spirits and wine by driving delivery truck to specific customers.
- Unloads truck by use of hand truck, dolly or pallet jack.
- Reconciles customers’ invoice by collecting COD as specified on invoice and recording transactions on company and customer receipt.
- Records daily deliveries by completing delivery records as needed.
- Provides customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns.
- Collects product returns by obtaining customers’ signature on receipt for pick up or delivery.
- Maintains records by completing DOT driver log.
- Maintains appearance of delivery truck by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck cab and box.
- Reports and requests routine truck maintenance by completing electronic and written maintenance request form.
- Performs duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL Class B (Commercial Drivers License).
- Clean MVR record as per our Company Fleet Safety Policy
- 1 to 2 years related delivery experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have general knowledge of DOT regulations and proven history of safe driving.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to associates.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic understanding of shipping/receiving and inventory control principals.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pays attention to detail and meet deadlines
