If that sounds like an organization you want to be a part of, we would love to have you.The Payroll Analyst will perform various payroll transactions and duties to ensure paychecks are processed timely and accurately. This role will assist management in training and coaching other payroll specialists on the team. Additionally, this role will analyze and audit processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Roles & Responsibilities
  • Oversees payroll functions for semi-monthly payroll by reconciling, auditing, including assisting with timely transmittal of data, including tax, wage garnishments, benefits, timecards, etc.
  • Provides support for semi-monthly payroll processing and off-cycle checks, including production of retroactive, bonus, and final paychecks
  • Audits and maintains payroll allocations to ensure proper recording of payroll in accounting software
  • Collaborates with HRIS team for payroll HRIS system testing and troubleshooting
  • Conducts regular audits on payroll procedures and records to support the month and year end close processes
  • Reviews and approves workflows to ensure accurate records are maintained for new hires and employment changes
  • Responds to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll related matters in a timely manner
  • Stays current with changes in the law and verifies compliance with government payroll requirements
  • Prepares numerous routine and ad hoc reports and analysis for annual filings, workers’ compensation insurance, internal auditors, regulatory agencies, and special projects
  • Works with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensures proper adjustments to payroll are recorded
  • Identifies improvements and makes recommendations on automating processes to ensure accuracy
  • Trains, coaches, and serves as backup to Payroll Specialists, as needed
  • Maintains productive relationships with other departments, including HR, Benefits, Leave of Absence, and Operations
RequirementsEducation/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Four years’ payroll, accounting, or finance experience required
  • Two years’ payroll processing experience required
  • Experience using advanced level Excel for reports, complex formulas to identify and analyze payroll issues, such as VlookUp, Pivot Tables, and others related required
  • Payroll certification preferred
  • Experience using UKG products preferred
  • Experience in healthcare industry preferred
Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Knowledgeable about and experience with payroll best practices
  • Knowledgeable about and experience with federal and state payroll tax and labor law developments
  • Ability to research payroll issues independently
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Ability to handle confidential information in accordance with company’s guidelines
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Power Point, OneNote, and Outlook
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent planning and organizational ability
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
Salary range: $71,858.17-$87,826.66 depending on experience.Education : Bachelors
