This is why your career with our company can be so satisfying, rewarding and worthwhileCabinetworks Group is seeking a dynamic, innovative, Continuous Improvement Specialist who will support strategic initiatives and drive processes improvement at our Mifflinburg plant.Responsible for all aspects of the plant’s continuous improvement program to ensure the successful attainment of goals and objectives.PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute and maintain Continuous Improvement programs, including Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM), problem-solving methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, RCCM, PDCA, etc.), 6S, Value Stream Mapping, and the implementation of lean manufacturing methods.
  • Analyze current production data and related costs. Utilize problem-solving processes to drive change, monitor results, and implement sustainability in improved processes and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate kaizen events for the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations systems processes driven by misses in KPIs, moving from current to future state VSMs, and strategic business priorities.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and training schedules to achieve plant goals and objectives in accordance with the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS).
  • Implement and conduct continuous improvement training programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by effectively leveraging communication processes and employee relations programs.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, or related field with 3 years of lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement experience, or 5 years of lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement experience with a minimum of an Associate’s degree.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and effectively manage change.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Six Sigma Certification or comparable problem-solving certification.
  • Maintenance equipment and/or TPM experience.
  • Knowledge of Management Systems, including Toyota Production Systems, Danaher Business Systems, or ISO health and safety, environmental, or quality management systems.
  • Fluent written and spoken Spanish language skills.
