Job Description:Sign on Bonus up to $10,000 for Eligible CandidatesBrookwood Baptist Medical Center: Located in Birmingham, this 588 bed facility provides the following services: Brain & Neuro, Cancer Care, Children's Services, Diagnostics, Digestive Disorders, Ear, Nose & Throat, Emergency, Gynecological Surgery, Heart Care, infertility issues, Interventional Radiology, Maternity, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Psychiatry (one of the largest providers in the State), Pulmonary and Respiratory, Rehabilitation Services, Robotic Surgery, Sleep Center, Surgical Services, Urology, Weight Loss Surgery, Women's Health, Workforce Wellness, and Wound Care.Job Summary
Provides respiratory care to patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.Job Responsibilities
Performs all aspects of respiratory care to include diagnostic test of the cardio-pulmonary system; performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment to include I-STAT blood gas analyzersEducation
Required: graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program.Certifications
Required: RCP or equivalent State licensure; CRT, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Preferred: RRT#LI-JA5Responsibilities:Performs all aspects of respiratory care to include diagnostic test of the cardio-pulmonary system; performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment to include blood gas analyzers.Qualifications:Education:Required: Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program.Alabama - Minimum Education Requirements: Graduate of a CoArc approved program (or successor organization), eligible to sit for CRT/RRT exam and holding a temporary license issued by the State of Alabama. Work experience may NOT substitute for minimum education requirement.Experience:not applicableCertifications:Required: RCP or equivalent State licensure; CRT, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Preferred: RRTAlabama - Minimum Certification Requirements: BCLS required upon hire. ACLS, PALS and/or NRP may be required by facility policy based on duty assignment, to be completed within 3 months of hire. State Respiratory Therapy License and Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required upon hire. If Temporarily Licensed via Alabama Board for Respiratory Therapy, CRT or RRT must be obtained prior to expiration of temporary license.
