Serve as the Occupational Medicine Staff Officer ensuring compliance with Occupational Health Program.
Develop and implement policies to support the medical examination program, which includes pre-employment/in-processing evaluations, baseline health screening evaluations, and occupational medical surveillance.
Provide consultative advice to other providers on care of patients with occupational illnesses or injuries.
Review the health hazard inventory of each operation and determines specific medical monitoring examination requirements for pre-placement and periodic job-related examinations.
Plan and implement formal educational programs at the work site to meet workers needs and promote wellness (stress management, crisis intervention, workplace anger and violence, employee assistance programs).
Develop educational material and coordinate delivery of OH training programs to promote awareness of health hazards, comply with Army/DoD and other federal laws, regulations and mandates.

A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
A pre-placement medical examination is required.
Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g.,ALS) does not supersede BLS.
Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
