Approved Date:07/01/2022SUMMARYPlans, administers, and directs all co-curricular activities; coordinates school transportation activities; and develops and implements activity program for St. Labre Staff and summer youth activity programs; by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *Indicates the non-essential and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Co-Curricular Activities * Schedules all co-curricular activities.
- Makes arrangements for all co-curricular events (practices and games).
- Responsible for the employment of officials for all athletic events.
- Coordinates travel arrangements (food, lodging., and transportation) for all activities.
- Makes recommendations to the administrators on personnel assignments for all activities.
- Supervises and evaluates all coaches and makes recommendations to administrators.
- Supervises and evaluates all sports programs.
- Prepares budget.
- Coordinates the purchasing of athletic supplies and equipment.
- Sponsors a Letter Person’s Club involving all extracurricular activities sponsors.
- Coordinates with Food Service staff for proper planning of all banquets for students and parents.
- Represents St. Labre Indian School at all functions appropriate to this position.
- Represents St. Labre at Montana High School Association, District 3B, and other organizational meetings.
- Is familiar with MHSA, 3B and other organizational rules and regulations.
- Is initial contact for parents concerning athletics and activities.
- Works with parent groups from the St. Labre community.
- Maintains current inventories of all athletic equipment and uniforms.
1. Coordinates transportation needs with principals. Transportation needs include but are not limited to: after school activity routes, school field trips, staff workshops, and all other trips sponsored by St. Labre.
2. Coordinates drivers for buses, vans, and other school vehicles.
3. Coordinates maintenance and cleaning of school vehicles.
4. Maintains usage logs, maintenance logs, and gas logs for all school vehicles.Progams and other Activities * Becomes involved in the establishment of youth activities on the Northern Cheyenne and the Crow
Indian Reservations, working through the parishes and tribal organizations. * Provides winter and summer activities/recreation schedules to Director of Schools.
- Develops and implements summer activities program for youth.
- Develops activity program (athletics, classes, etc.) for adults during the school year.
- Schedules use of all St. Labre facilities for outside use.
- Supervises outside use of all St. Labre facilities.
- Coordinates public use of Soaring Eagle Center.
- Coordinates a comprehensive activities program for all St. Labre students.
- Advertises Soaring Eagle Center activities.
- Studies and analyzes recreational needs and resources for students and staff.
- Assures adequate supervision of Soaring Eagle Center at all times.
- Collects Soaring Eagle membership fees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Supervises:
*Evening and weekend Soaring Eagle staff
*Head Coaches
*Aquatics Technician
