JOB TITLE: DSPC NurseREPORTS TO: Director of Care TeamSupports: Our DSPs and FamiliesSalary: $74,000NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:The Nurse will work with the Care Team to conduct any required nursing delegated trainings, as outlined in the OAR for our DSPs and DSSs. They will assist with developing medical protocols and training DSPs to follow outlined protocols. The nurse will perform regular check-ins to ensure accuracy for delegated tasks. If a client requires a higher level of medical supports, the Nurse may be invited to participate in an annual ISP meeting, doctor visits or other types of appointments/meetings.RESPONSILBILITIES:
  • Complete required assessment
  • Provide any required delegation training to all necessary DSPs.
  • Assist with medication administration training to DSP’s
  • Create/review Protocols and health related support documents.
  • Working with clients and families in their personal homes.
  • Maintain copies of trainings and provide copies to DSPC for DSP file.
  • Complete annual re-delegations for DSPs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (able to provide copy to DSPC)
  • Maintain Liability insurance (able to provide copy to DSPC)
  • 2 years of hands-on industry experience (DSP/PSW, Managing group home or other related industry experience)
  • 2 years of Writing Support Plans (protocols, Safety plans, etc. or related experience)
  • Pass Federal Background check.
  • Calm and patient demeaner when applicable
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others.
  • Well spoken.
  • Good Writing skills
  • Knowledge of OAR’s and K-Plan as well as how ODDS procedures work
JOB FUNCTIONS:Schedule: Schedule is open for discussion. Full time & Part time available.The Nurse shall:
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Promote highest level of respect and kindness to our DSPs & clients/families.
  • Review client ISPs, RIT, and any other incoming support documents
  • Monitor and respond to all communications in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the family, DSPs, and Care Team
  • Bring all escalated issues to supervisor before making decisions that would be outside our standard operating procedures.
  • Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Keep and maintain notes on all meetings held.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by DSPC management team.
