We have Child Support worker roles available within a residential service supporting young people with emotional behavioural difficulties. The service supports young people ages 8-18 years old with emotional and social difficulties to continue their education.Job title: Residential Childcare PractitionerLocation: West LothianPay: £14 per hourLength of role: Initial 3 month full time contract, likely to be extendedResponsibilities:
  • Working with young people who have experienced challenges in their lives by offering a wide range of services to support their individual needs.
  • Supporting the YPs you support to build positive nurturing relationships.
  • Providing the best possible environment and service for the children and young people
  • This exciting role will support the engagement and participation of young people in a wide range of activities that support their life journey and improve their life chances.
About you
  • Have 6 months previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
  • Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Register under the PVG scheme
  • Full driving license
  • Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
