Description ERM is looking to recruit a Scrum Master, reporting into the Global Head of Process Excellence and PMO to build and support an Agile way of working across Global IT, including Business Process and Applications, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, IT Operations and IT PMO teams. The Scrum Master will be facilitating the IT teams to deliver as much value as possible, aligning with ERMs business strategy and will need to co-ordinate cross-team collaboration to the highest standard. The Scrum Master will help to coach the IT Teams, its Product Owners and the business on agile methodologies, and look for opportunities to enhance practices, processes and tool utilisation. The Scrum Master will need to have a deep understanding of the work being done across ERM IT and assist in optimising transparency and delivery flow. The Scrum Master will be responsible for working with team leads to schedule cross-team resources, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives. Responsibilities Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum, and acompanying tools to aid delivery. Assess the agile delivery maturity of the team and organization, and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Identify resources to remove impediments in workload delivery. Facilitate the completion of work without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. Facilitate discussion, decision - making, and conflict resolution. Manage multiple scrum teams with shared team members spread across time zones. Assist with internal and external communication and stakeholder engagement, improving transparency and effectively dissimilating information. Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Forecast the number of deliverables possible in an iteration, based on evidence and reliable source. Schedule, facilitate and monitor the range of meetings required to support the agile process in quick decision making, inspection and delivery of workload. Provide regular updates on delivery and take corrective action where required. Work closely with subject matter experts and technical leaders from additional ERM business units, across time zones, as part of diverse teams that may be established for revenue delivery on project to project basis. Engage with other IT processes and requirements to ensure integrity and compliance across sprints, e.g. release management process. Education And Experience Bachelor or Master's degree in a related field of study, or equivalent experience. CSM, CTC or equivalent (PSM, SAFe). Proven track record of being able to build an Agile methodology from the ground-up. Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 3 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Strong skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. Detailed knowledge of Azure DevOps. Knowledge of numerous well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (Example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.). Knowledge of other Agile approaches such as XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
