Typical Duties/Job Duties1. Exhibit design, development, and construction
2. Manage day-to-day museum operations
3. Develop and implement educational programs
4. Seeks and prepares funding proposals in conjunction with Director
5. Catalogue and display material
6. Develop and maintain exhibit schedule
7. Supervise volunteers, docents, and interns among others
8. Identify and record items
9. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of museum procedures and best practices.
Skilled in oral and written communications and skilled in interpersonal relations.
Ability to do historical research; ability to speak knowledgeably and effectively before groups; ability to organize and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner; ability to perform work requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
Minimum QualificationsPossession of an MA or MS in museum studies or related field.Museum, archival, or closely related experience required.
