- Maintain the Master Production Schedule - Monitor and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for specific truck lines in North American manufacturing operations. Work with all necessary parties to ensure the fixed schedule and forecast are accurate to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) forecast. May supervise and provide backup for structure generation of standard and special projects.
- Component Planning - Create the proper component demand plan for service requirements using customer inputs and past history. This includes demand for international components. Responsible for feature / option plan percentages for truck lines. Maintain the demand plan that includes statistical buffers to support increases and decreases in demand. Resolve problems with demand plan inventory shortages. Process projects associated with the component planning as assigned.
- New Product Development Projects - Support new projects through the product development project (PDP) process. Participate in project meetings and communicate information to the Materials and manufacturing groups. Work collaboratively with the Purchasing/Materials departments at the subsidiaries for changes that impact their area. Implement Generic Bill of Materials (GBOM) changes and service forecast changes. Help support the phase in and out of parts for new projects by researching and providing data to impacted planners.
- Communication - Coordinate changes with Engineering, the Project groups, Service, and Interplant subsidiaries when necessary. Maintain open lines of communication for feedback to the demand plan. When necessary, communicate requested information to our customers (both external and internal) to help meet our customers’ expectations. Contribute to the growth and development of the department. Support and procedures or documentation necessary to maintaining International Standard Organization (ISO) certification. Participate in cross training as necessary. May assign management data to new engineered parts as necessary.
- 2-4 years related experience
- Bachelor degree (Business or Supply Chain)
- Alternately, five to seven years of experience in Materials or Supply Chain may apply.
- Forecasting experience preferred.
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Computer skills are necessary.
