- UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014. - Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association Recruiting Examination per NCAA bylaw 13.1.2 (Permissible Recruiting) before recruiting. Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and be certified bi-annually. Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System.
- In accordance with UC Davis Athletics' hiring process for coaches, UC Davis will require any head coach or assistant coach final candidate(s) to sign an authorization for a reference check. Pursuant to your signed authorization form, we will inquire with your prior institution(s) about any records of substantiated misconduct.
- Coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of lacrosse, preferably at the collegiate level.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of the rules and strategies of lacrosse. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for student-athletes to compete at the collegiate level.
- Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.
