Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems.
Register new patients and update existing patient demographic and insurance information.
Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims.
Collect co-payments and fees from patients at the time of service.
Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of information.
Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and diagnostic services as needed.
Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks, such as preparing patient charts and reports.
Ensure waiting areas and reception area are clean and organized.
Follow office policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulations.Requirements:Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance protocols.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload.
