Responsibilities:
- Provide direction on computer control systems to operational line management within the designated Region.
- Offer guidance on Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) including Fire & Gas, Cause & Effect, and Package Systems for FSOs/FPSOs and Shore Bases as needed.
- Implement controls to maintain and protect ICSS and other software from uncontrolled modifications and cyber-attacks.
- Assist Classification Societies, Clients, and Vendors on control system matters.
- Contribute to new project designs by reviewing documents and specifications to ensure best practices and expertise are included.
- Assess personnel and identify necessary training to ensure offshore control system personnel competence, taking corrective actions as required.
- Collaborate with Fleet HR on the competency of all offshore ICSS specialists.
- Coordinate Management of Change requests, including major upgrades, repairs, and overhauls, and supervise execution.
- Participate in reliability studies and establish maintenance philosophies for ICSS.
- Support Digital Project developments.
- Develop, maintain, and manage onshore data application systems such as Osisoft PI, Matrikon Alarm Manager, and Control Performance Monitor.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of cyber-security systems and applications.
- Provide technical assistance for Root Cause Analysis related to ICSS failures and recommend remedial actions.
- Travel to offshore sites as required.
- MSc or BSc degree in control system and instrumentation technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years experience as an ICSS or Control System Engineer.
- At least 5 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in PCS7.
- Knowledge of onshore data systems.
- Functional Safety TUV certification is beneficial.
- Practical knowledge of Management of Change for ICSS modifications and Risk Assessment (RA).
- Proficient with Microsoft packages and familiar with software-based maintenance systems.
- Offshore survival and medical certification desirable/required.
- Ability to travel internationally, including offshore, for short-term assignments.
