Don't miss out on this chance to make a lasting impression!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, your duties will include overseeing, monitoring, and compliance efforts, conducting reviews, and enforcing regulations for a specific geographic region. These responsibilities encompass the administration of the Oil and Gas Act, Conservation Law, Coal and Gas Resource Coordination Law, as well as the rules, state regulations, and policies.You will conduct regular inspections of oil and gas wells and related facilities using Department-provided electronic equipment to document and record all inspections. This includes inspections of wells in both coal and non-coal areas, as well as conservation wells, observation wells, and gas storage reservoirs. Inspections will cover drilling, production, alteration, and plugging phases, with a focus on ensuring compliance during these stages. Relevant documents and resources, such as permits, maps, well logs, and handbooks, may be consulted as needed to support the inspection process.Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Coal Center.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Most selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $56,900.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Three years of technical experience in well design, drilling, completion, production, plugging, or underground storage operations in the oil or natural gas industry; or
  • An associate degree in petroleum technology or closely related field, and one year of technical experience in well design, drilling, completion, production, plugging, or underground storage operations in the oil or natural gas industry.
Special Requirement:
  • Possession of a valid PA Class C non-commercial driver's license.
