- Work with the program teams, Line leadership, and CTO organization to identify software related technology and solution roadmaps to establish Leidos as a provider of choice for mission software across the National Security domain.
- Establish best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches for all aspects of software development.
- Ensure all software related proposals and programs are following defined software processes and technology standards.
- Define a set of core software key performance indicators that will be required on all development activities.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. and 15 years of experience in a Science, Engineering, or Technology field - Will consider experience in lieu of the degree requirements.
- Ability to gain a security clearance for a position of trust within the US government.
- Recent experience within the National Security domain (Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, FBI, or Department of Defense) with an understanding of those missions and operating environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact at multiple levels of the organization from program teams to executive leadership.
- Ability to mentor, lead, and promote talent.
- Location: Washington Metropolitan Area with ability to travel to customer sites across the region
- Scaled Agile Development experience.
- Experience leading independent technical reviews of software programs.
- Proven leader across the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Experience implementing solutions for multiple customers.
