- Adhere to and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform daily equipment check lists (IE crane checks, equipment checks, etc.).
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints, job routings, and Standard Engineering Specifications.
- Properly assemble heads, shells, and flanges for circumferential seam welding.
- Hold necessary weld certifications to fabricate and repair pressure vessels.
- Be able to perform all kinds of welding, cutting, gouging operations applicable to the company, to properly fabricate pressure vessels.
- Handset couplings, flanges, pipe nipples, legs, brackets, braces, etc., within tolerances specified on blueprints.
- Record required information on proper forms relating to specific fabrication practices where required.
- Pneumatic test doubler pads, and pressure vessels when required.
- Dye penetrants inspect and do repairs to joggled shells. Successfully complete dye penetrant certification.
- Material handling - operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed. Also successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
- Perform modifications or alterations to previously fabricated pressure vessels.

- As a SPVG employee, you are required to understand the ISO system and the elements that affect your job.
- Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training. Protect and properly safeguard ITAR-sensitive information and work product; ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to "protected data" occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.
- Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
- Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
- Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
- Must have a basic understanding of computers.
- Must have reading, writing and simple math skills.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Wire feed (GMAW) welding equipment.
- Air Carbon Arc gouging equipment
- All Pneumatic tools available to shop employees.
- 1', 2', and 4' levels, center finder, carpenters square, chalk line, compass, protractor, tape measure, circumference tape measure, center punch.
- Air plasma arc cutting machine, Oxy / Acet cutting torch.
- Fillet weld gauges.
