- Check in and check out guests with a focus on satisfaction and accuracy.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly and with courtesy.
- Answer phones and manage reservations.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Audit and reconcile all revenue postings and transactions for the day.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to hotel management.
- Verify and adjust billing as needed.
- Investigate any discrepancies in transactions.
- Assist guests with needs such as directions, amenities, local attractions, and other services.
- Respond to emergencies and alert appropriate authorities and management in case of guest issues.
- Ensure security by monitoring surveillance and controlling building access.
- Maintain files and reset systems for next day operations.
- Perform data entry and clerical duties as required.
- Update room statuses and availability in the hotel’s computer systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further training in hospitality or accounting is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hotel front desk or accounting role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including reservation platforms and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and potentially lift up to 15 pounds.
- This is an overnight position, typically from 11 PM to 7 AM, including weekends and holidays. Hours may vary
