- Assist in the coordination of crew arrivals, departures, and crew transfers.
- Maintain accurate crew records, including contracts, visas, passports, and medical certificates.
- Handle crew-related documentation and maintain up-to-date files.
- Coordinate crew drills, training sessions, and crew announcements.
- Assist with crew payroll processes and related paperwork.
- Crew Welfare and Support:
- Address and resolve crew-related issues, concerns, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Assist with crew accommodation arrangements, crew mess operations, and transportation logistics.
- Coordinate crew events, recreational activities, and welfare programs.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure crew compliance with shipboard regulations and policies.
- Liaise with crew members to provide information on shipboard procedures, facilities, and services.
- Financial Duties:
- Assist in the management of the crew budget, including monitoring expenses and controlling costs.
- Process and reconcile crew accounts, including cash advances, onboard expenses, and salary deductions.
- Collect and handle cash transactions from crew members accurately and securely.
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and reporting requirements.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies for the crew office.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents as required.
- Assist in the coordination of crew schedules, leave requests, and crew movements.
- Provide general administrative support to the Crew Purser and other departments as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in hospitality, tourism, or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in the cruise industry is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and crew management systems.
- Knowledge of crew regulations, international maritime conventions, and customs procedures is an asset.
- Fluency in English is essential. Additional language skills are advantageous.
