Apply now for this position in Gillette, Wyoming .Job Title: Chief EngineerJob Description:The Chief Engineer will oversee all administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the hotel that are related to the Engineering division. The primary responsibility of the Chief Engineer is to ensure the safe and profitable operation of the hotel while maintaining high standards of guest service. The Chief Engineer will lead and manage the Engineering staff, providing training in customer service, empowerment, standard operating procedures, and loss prevention standards. Additionally, they will develop financial forecasts and actively participate in monthly profit/loss review meetings. It will also be the Chief Engineer's responsibility to develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds, and other assets in good repair, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Implementing a preventative maintenance program for all hotel equipment and inspecting, testing, and certifying all emergency and life safety equipment and systems per standards will also be a key part of the role. Furthermore, the Chief Engineer will need to ensure that room maintenance requests are handled promptly and courteously. They will follow up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk, taking immediate action as necessary. The Chief Engineer will also assist as needed with special projects and renovations, actively participating in energy conservation programs, and reviewing all guest and meeting planner comment cards to ensure problems are identified and corrected in a timely manner.
