POSITION: Marketing Specialist, Part TimeLOCATION: Clarkesville CampusMay 2024-December 2024**TEMPORARY POSITION WILL END IN DECEMBER 2024**Description:The Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating marketing and planning efforts in support of the college’s strategic plan.Competencies:Assist with design of college graphics including brochures, newsletters, and advertisements. Assist with photos, special events, as well as social media account content and programming. Perform administrative tasks as assigned. Must be skilled in interpersonal relations and able to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to meet deadlines as assigned. Requires travel to other campuses and possible off-site events.Minimum Qualifications:· Associate’s degree diploma AND 3 years of work-related experience· Graphic design skills· Social media experience· Photography skills· Organizational skills· Oral and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, public relations or related field AND a minimum 3 years of experience in designing visuals for marketing print and electronic media; experience with enterprise-level social media communications; experience in preparing professional photographs and videos from a wide variety of venues including competitions, award ceremonies, industrial settings, and classrooms. Experience in writing and editing various media content such as news releases and feature stories.
